In discussions with many different colleagues and departments, we came up with the idea of upcycling our raw material disposable pallets. Dominik Strohmenger from production had constructed two "concept pallets" for this purpose.
After successful test shipments to the customer, the shipping pallets were quickly
mass-produced by us and have since become the standard loading medium for stainless steel tube shipments.
This is a great example of how we use existing resources at IVT and still keep costs down.
